About me

The German-French-Indonesian actor and lyricist has made a name for himself above all in the queer scene and among up-and-coming filmmakers.

So far this year, he has shone in several projects. A particular highlight was his performance at the Snowdance Independent Film Festival, where he was selected as one of the top 13 actors. “It was an incredibly rewarding and interesting experience to be able to perform my monologue in front of such a high-caliber jury,” he recalls.

In the play “The Pianist and the Punk”, he showed off his acting skills and wowed the audience. “On stage, you have absolute control and can still lose yourself completely in order to surrender to the role, the story and the audience,” he enthuses. He has also proven himself in film, most recently in the short films “CABALLITO DE BRONCE” and “HATE”.

In addition to his work on stage and in front of the camera, Mark is also active in the digital world. On Instagram (@mark.wartenberg) he regularly shares sonnets by Shakespeare and gives insights into his creative work. “I love the cadence of his poetry, how it creates quicksilver variations in thought and emotion,” Mark says of Shakespeare.
Together with Jack Woodhead, he has provided the musical accompaniment and background music for the 38th TEDDY AWARD. “I'm very excited to sing a Klaus Nomi medley,” he says. His work and his commitment to the queer community are an important part of his identity and his artistic expression.
We can't wait to see what exciting projects he has in store for us in the future.
