Leonie Maraska Menzel

I am Leonie Maraska, 22 years old, born and raised in Bavaria and southern Norway. Since 2022 I have been studying acting at the Otto Falckenberg School and live in Munich. 

Here are few words to describe myself: I am empathetic, open, active, ambitious and passionate, chaotically colorful and analytical/critically thinking.

Actually, I am in movement all day, I always have to find myself something to do and without nature, mountains, the sea, norway, the wind, horses, dance, music, my siblings and my closest friends I simply couldn`t survive.

I bring a lot of joy, passion, intense emotions, energy and strength to my work. I swim, box, climb, dance modern and jazz, cycle, surf,... I do some gardening, I play the guitar and I sing in choirs and solos but mainly all day long (random phrases of random songs).

Why do I like acting in films? I don't know. It's just like that. I can't explain it to myself.
What interests me most, is being part of a complex storytelling that tells stories about humanity and human coexistence. And for me, film is and often has been dreams made into images, the place where you get closest to what you can otherwise only imagine.
