Leander Davide Koopmann is a German actor. He was born and raised alongside two sisters just outside of Hamburg in the north of Germany.
After spending some of his teenage years in the US, he started to take local acting classes and appeared in stage productions.
He attended the prestigious Paris drama school Cours Florent, where parts included Romeo in William Shakespeare’s ROMEO AND JULIET, Vanya in Christoper Durang’s VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE or Chadwick in Simon Stephens’s PUNK ROCK, which counts among his favorite parts to-date. He also wrote, directed and acted in his first one-man show THEN, THE LETTING GO based on the novel THE UNNAMED by Joshua Ferris.
Considering himself a method actor, Leander is working on a production of Rajiv Joseph’s GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES.
