Kumar Muniandy is a second-generation Tamil Malaysian who was born in Malaysia. His parents were Tamil Malaysians of the first generation. His grandparents were originally from Tamil Nadu in South India. The British took them as coolies to Malaysia for colonial work in the 1930s. Kumar can communicate in street Tamil, Malay, basic conversational Cantonese, and intermediate B1 German. He moved to London to become an actor in 2003, and in 2019, I expanded his profile to Berlin, which is his primary residence.

After fourteen years of auditioning as a South Asian actor in London and Berlin-90% of the time for terrorist, problematic Indian, and Muslim roles due to his ethnicity and rich-melanin skin-Kumar decided it was time to produce and create his own work in order to finally write the type of stories and narratives I always wanted to play, while also supporting and promoting other marginalized artists and communities.

In 2022, Kumar wrote, directed, and performed his solo play, ''Second Class Queer,'' at the English Theatre Berlin for three years in a row, from 2022 until 2024. The turnout and feedback from the audience were incredible. Kumar will be performing the play again on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at Ernst Deutsch Theatre, Hamburg as part of the fluctoplasma Festival 2025.

Kumar is currently looking for a producer to write a TV script based on the play, as well as theatre producers and venues in the United Kingdom for performances.
