Jannis Gerner

After graduating from Grabbe-Gymnasium in Detmold and a trip around the world, Jannis Gerner studied Spanish philology with a focus on literature and a minor in sports science at Münster University. He completed his studies with a Bachelor of Arts. During his time abroad, Gerner studied for a year at the Faculty of Literary Translation at the UCM in Madrid. At the same time, Gerner worked for film and television in small roles and acted in theater. This had been one of his greatest passions since his school days. Gerner gained further experience in front of the camera during his time in Cologne. Here he also studied Spanish and sport-science at the University of Cologne and the German Sport University. At the same time, he took acting lessons in Cologne and Paris. In 2020, Jannis Gerner moved to Berlin and, after successfully passing the entrance exam, began an undergraduate acting course at the European Theater Institute Berlin. He successfully completed this in 2023 as a state-recognized actor.
