About me

Iveta Pole is Latvian stage & film actor, and performance artist. She began her career at the New Riga Theatre,whose artistic artistic director Alvis Hermanis is widely recognised theatre & opera director. Being part of one of the most acclaimed acting troupes in Latvia, it has been a great platform for mastering the actor's profession. Iveta first earned recognition in 2005 when she received the Latvian Theatre Award for “Best New Actor”. Following this she performed with the New Riga Theatre both in Europe and overseas at numerous performances and festivals. Iveta has starred in both Latvian and foreign film productions. Her collaboration with Latvian movie
director Juris Poškus proved to be especially successful, twice winning her Best Actress at the Latvian National Film Awards for the roles in in ''Monotony” (2007) and ''Kolka Cool” (2012). Lately for her role in the movie "Sisters" Iveta received the Latvian National Film Award 2022 for Best Supporting Actress. 
Iveta has the strength and charm of an authentic Eastern European.
