Ian Dickinson

Ian Dickinson hails from South West England and still maintains a home there in Plymouth, Devon. Since 1995, he has split his time between his primary residence in Berlin, Germany and the United Kingdom. In 2017, he acquired dual British-German citizenship.

Ian has appeared on various stages in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Munich, London, and Plymouth, showcasing his talents in both German and English. He has taken on leading roles in works by Beckett, Berkhoff, Pinter, and Wilde. Additionally, Ian has directed and produced for his own theatre company, and performed as a guest actor in various productions at both the ‘Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin’ (1998-99) and the ‘Deutsches Theater, Berlin’ (2003-08).

His television and film credits include notable productions such as Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten (Clemens Löhr), The Keeper (Marcus H. Rosenmüller), Passion (Brian De Palma), Die dunkle Seite des Mondes (Stephan Rick), (Philipp Stölzl), Tom Atkins Blues (Alex Ross), Person To Person (Wim Wenders), Fay Grim (Hal Hartley), V For Vendetta (James McTeigue), and the Grimme prize-winning Paul Is Dead (Hendrik Handloegten).

In the realm of theatre, Ian has left his mark with performances in Purgatorio (Dorfman), Birdsong (Saunders), Closer (Marber), Kvetch (Berkhoff), Lady Bracknell’s Confinement (Doust), Othello (Shakespeare), Waiting For Godot (Beckett), The Homecoming and The Lover (Pinter).

With over 25 years of experience in the voice-over industry, Ian has accumulated a wealth of experience in all areas of voice work. He has had the privilege of working on major projects for renowned brands such as BMW, Bosch, Braun, Bugatti, Credit Suisse, Daimler Chrysler, Deichmann, Deutsche Bank, DHL, Gillette, Goodyear, Hyundai, Lexus, Lufthansa, Mercedes, MOMA New York, Panasonic, Schwarzkopf, Snickers, Volkswagen, and Zurich Financial.
