Eric Naumann is from Potsdam and completed his acting studies in Berlin in 2021. During his studies, he worked at various theaters in Berlin and the surrounding area. In 2017, he played the title role in "Maximilian Pfeifferling" at the GRIPS Theater in Berlin. In the 2018/2019 season, he performed at the "Jedermann" Festival in Potsdam. In connection with his graduation from drama school, Eric Naumann played the male lead role, Jean, in August Strindberg's drama "Fräulein Julie" at the ACUD Theater in Berlin in 2021. Directed by Klaus Hoser. In the 2022 musical RIO REISER – MEIN NAME IST MENSCH, directed by Frank Leo Schröder, the artist played roles such as Raymond and Lutz at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm in the Schiller Theater.
In 2020, he made his acting debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin with Richard Wagner's Hundingling / DIE WALKÜRE, directed by Stefan Herheim. Since then, Eric Naumann has regularly performed this role on the stage of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. With the world premiere of IL TEOREMA DI PASOLINI by Giorgio Battistelli, Eric Naumann celebrated his second premiere as an actor at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He took on the role of Pietro in a production by the British-Irish theater collective Dead Centre. He will play another acting role in the 2025/26 season in Christof Loy's production of DER SCHATZGRÄBER (The Treasure Digger).
In the 2023/24 season, he made his debut at the Landestheater Oberpfalz. There he played Fedja / ANATEVKA by Joseph Stein and Dicker Vetter / "Jedermann" by Hugo von Hofmannsthal, directed by Christian A. Schnell. In the 2024/25 season, Fox, Businessman, Vain / THE LITTLE PRINCE after Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Hermann / “Not Fish, Not Fowl” by Franz Xaver Kroetz, directed by Florian Tobias Beck, followed.
