Brett Ortgiesen

Brett Ortgiesen

Über mich

Brett's acting persona has been described as a cross between Walter White and Wolf of Wallstreet, playing strong, charismatic characters with tragic flaws. His roles included interrogation officer, sales director, high school teacher, alchemist, and bohemian artist.

Brett began his career on the stage at the age of 5 playing Pachelbel’s Canon and Strauss’ Turkish Waltz to years later performing theater renditions of such films as Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kramer’s High Noon. He has most recently starred in the Indie film Three on a Match and Slow Burning Leaves.

Brett graduated with a B.A in History where he discovered his passion for writing and acting while studying the Renaissance in Florence, Italy. He would later receive an M.A in Literature from Freiburg University, concentrating on 17th century English dramatists and the Romantic Poets while acting in the student run theater. While working in Berlin as a presenter and scriptwriter for a history channel, Brett was trained in various forms of improvisation at the Gorillas and the Comedy Corner school. He most recently graduated from the Actors Space Berlin school of Meisner based film acting.

Brett has led an unconventional life, starting with his birth on a boat along the Sea of Cortez. Perpetually curious, Brett’s passion for European culture and history helped him learn Italian, Romanian, Latin, and German while teaching English after graduating from college. Brett’s eclectic interests and real life experience as a kindergarten teacher, professor, sales director, government official, and barkeeper helps him continue to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
